RB 06

The missile RB 06 is a target missile used for range practice against aerial targets. The missile is launched from an access ramp and is assisted by an external booster rocket to give the jet engine a quick boost to achieve a flyable speed. Generally, the firing is done against a trailing target, hauled with a long wire. The missile RB 06 is produced by Raytheon in a number of versions. The original manufacturer was Beech Aircraft, which was bought up by Raytheon.

RB 06 has been in active service at RFN since 1977.
